It is my proud privilege to be serving at one of the premier Teacher Education Institutions. Sullamussalam College of Teacher Education, Areekode, SCTE, as it is known, is established in 2005. It was recognised by NCTE, and was affiliated to Calicut University. Since it’s inception the college has been rendering relentless service to the society in general and teacher training in particular. It has been our endeavour to groom the prospective teachers to the level where they can be well placed  in society and further prove to be productive for it. Our aim has always been to maintain and enhance the quality of education being imparted to student teachers. The BEd programme at the College of Teacher Education, provides a unique experience in Teacher Education. The major focus is on professional development of the teacher trainees. The entire course is dedicated to elevating the quality of Teacher Education. Through its activities, the college aspires to create an environment to assist the student teacher to realise their full potential to enable them to play their roles effectively in society in which they live in. Coming to Sullamussalam College of Teacher Education means being a member of an elite league of teacher educators, students and alumni who carry a torch of change in our society. SCTE, provides opportunities to teacher trainees to enable them to become innovative to face their professional challenges. The college definitely provides them a promising future.
